About this Project

A large-scale project dedicated to Halloween celebrations in Decentraland Metaverse. 5-days gaming experience (27-31 October 2022) including quests and  rewards had to become a main Halloween event in Decentraland. It was the first time when Decentraland outsourced the main event. DAPPCRAFT team provided the whole range of works: from creative concept, script writing and 3D modeling to backend and frontend.

DAPPCRAFT pursued several objectives at once in the course of project implementation: ⁃ Creative. We had to adapt old Halloween experience by Decentraland to make a new story-line, adapt and implement old quest mechanics ⁃ Design. We created 5 fully decorated scenes. Each scene has its own design concept which is supported visually by NPCs in the scene. The main goal was to  immerse the user in a fairy-tale world, impress him with details. ⁃ Tech side. We adapted the code, created new quest mechanics, built new server and Rewards API and used the Smart wearable technology for the first time.

As a result, Halloween Treasure Hunt was launched on 27th October 2022. The event was held for 5 days. More than 5k users participated in the Halloween experience. Our team built: 5 scenes, 11 NPCs and 6 quests.
