Barcelona Pavilion – A Metaverse Recreation

about this project

This digital gallery reimagines one of modernism’s most iconic works: Ludwig Mies van der Rohe’s Barcelona Pavilion (1929). Celebrated for its purity of form, open plan, and luxurious materials, the pavilion embodies Mies’s philosophy of “less is more.”

In the metaverse, its floating roof plane, slender columns, and free-flowing walls are rendered with the same elegance—marble, travertine, and glass creating an atmosphere of serene minimalism. The reflecting pool and carefully framed views invite visitors into a contemplative spatial experience, bridging the timeless legacy of modern architecture with the limitless possibilities of virtual space.
